10 Impactful Quotes + Announcement

Hello to all my readers!

2 weeks ago I posted 8 songs that have impacted my life and today I'm going to post 10 quotes (I couldn't just pick 8;) that have impacted my life. Words have so much power as you know and these are quotes that have made me think or just encouraged me. But before we jump in I have an announcement to make. :) I'm switching my posting day! I'll be posting every Wednesday instead of every Saturday. It was suggested by a friend (thank you, Hosanna!:) that so many blogs post on Saturday that it's just hard to keep up with them. Wednesday is a day that not near as many bloggers post on so that will be my day. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this change in the comments! =) Anyway, enjoy!

"Your attitude towards others, work, and your daily life is a reflection of your attitude towards God."
-Elizabeth George

"God can't give us peace and happiness apart from Himself because there is no such thing."
-C.S. Lewis

"If all the prayers you prayed this week were answered, how many babies would be saved from abortion? How many persecuted Christians would find comfort? How many tribes would hear the gospel?...Are my prayers small and self-centered or are they big and moving the hand of God in this world? Am I praying for the impossible? If not, why not?"
-Grace Mally, Will Our Generation Speak?

"When God allows something to be taken from you, He replaces it with something better."
-Janette Oke

-Mother Teresa

-Jill Williamson

"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him."
-John Piper

Of these quotes, which is your favorite? What are a few quotes that have impacted your life? And what do you think of my new posting day? I'd love to hear!!

  1. Those are all really great quotes! I really like the point made in the 1st and 3rd one. Trusting God. "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God," it's very true! And "God can't give us peace and happiness apart from Himself because there is no such thing," Is so great too! :D Thank you for sharing them!

    1. Yes, they are all amazing! And I really liked those two as well. It's a wonderful fact that we can trust God with everything. And that other one is amazing as well. We so often go to things for peace and happiness, but realizing that he's the only one who gives it is very challenging.

      Thanks for commenting!

  2. Those are all really good quotes! It's so hard to pick, but I'd say that the first three are probably my favorites.
And I also think it's great to post on Wednesdays! You're right- not many others post on Wednesdays. :)

    1. Yes, they are! And I love the first three as well. They're amazing! And that's awesome you think it's a good posting day. I'm excited! :)

Thank you for all your super lovely comments, Emily!

  3. I can't choose one! I love all of them! :)

Have a great rest of your weekend, Hannah!

    With love and all joy,
    Allie D.

    1. Haha, isn't it the worst when someone asks you to pick a "favorite"? I don't like it...hehe. ;) But I did it anyways...xD

Aw, you're so sweet, Allie! I hope you have an amazing week too. :)

  4. All those quotes are so powerful! A few that I've found impacting are:

A mere man alone can easily be defeated, but a man alive with the power of God within him is invincible. John Anthony

I know that the experiences of our lives, when we let God use them, become mysterious and perfect preparation for the work He will give us to do. Corrie ten Boom

I learned that if we obey God miracles will happen, no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in. Brother Yun

Sorry for the overload.. And yes, I think your new posting day sounds great! I agree that a lot of bloggers post on the weekend, and it's hard to keep up with the influx of posts sometimes. :)

    1. Wow, wow, wow, Jessica! Those are amazing quotes. The first one I love how it says that alone we will be defeated, but with God defeat is not even a possibility. And the second one. Wow. Every experience we have in life is for a purpose and a reason! Doesn't that fill you with hope? And the last one is so true as well. Obeying God, as hard as it is, will produce miracles and fruit in our lives. What great reminders! Thank you, Jessica! And I'm glad you think it's a good day to post on. I'm excited! I'd love any ideas for christian living posts if you have any?? :)

    2. I'm glad you found them a blessing, Hannah. :) They have definitely inspired me.

Well, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on seeking God through busy seasons of life, or painful and hard times; how we can use blogging and interacting in the blogger community to impact/be a blessing to others and share God's love; any personal experiences you've had of answers to prayer, or experiences witnessing, or things God's been teaching you, or what you've been discovering in the Bible... Sorry, I didn't mean to swamp you with suggestions - I hope they can give you a few ideas. Seriously, I enjoy everything you post, and appreciate your heart to serve and follow God. Keep being a blessing, girl!

    3. Thank you SO much for those suggestions! They are very helpful. *hugs*

      aww, you're so sweet! <3

  5. These are great quotes!! Love them! :)

    1. Thank you, Megan! So glad you enjoyed them! Are their any "Christian hero's" that you are especially inspired by?

  6. These are all such great quotes! I especially like the 1st and 4th ones. :)
Wednesdays sound like a good day to post. :) I'm looking forward to see your next post, Hannah! :D

    1. Yes, the first and fourth are amazing ones! What are some of your favorite quotes, Rebekah?

That's good that you think so! I'm excited for it. :) And aw, you're very sweet! Thank you! *hugs*

  7. Speaking of it being hard to keep up with all the blog posts being published over the weekend, I'm behind after this past weekend! And I really like the idea of changing the day of posting. I'm seriously considering considering that seriously in the future. (That kind of looks like a typo, but no, I just don't have time to seriously consider the changes I'd have to make right now... but at a glance, I think that's a good goal for the future.)

Goodness, I can get so off topic so quickly! The quotes! Thank you for sharing these! Of the ones you listed, I think my favourite must be the one by Jill Williamson: "Just make sure that the thing you're living for is worth dying for."

My favourite quote is by Jim Elliot: "he is no fool who gives that which he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose."

Hmmm, those two quotes have a similar message, don't they?

    1. Oh, I'm very glad that people are excited about my new change in posting day! And I totally know what you mean "considering considering"...haha. ;D That is something that I know I've done! "Well, I think I'll consider if I should consider that". ;)

And no problem! I love those type of comments that get off topic. :) And you're very welcome! That quote is very good. It does make you think!

And YES. I love that quote! His story is so amazing isn't it? It makes me wonder...would I be willing to die a brutal death to save another soul...and ultimately do it for my King? It's so hard. I struggle with not wanting to go through physical pain. Do you ever struggle with that?

And yes, they do have similar messages! Thank you for commenting, sweet Jordy!

  8. Haha, well I'm glad I'm not the only one who considers considering occasionally! But other times (regarding more important matters) I really should stop and give the proper thought where it's due.

Even though I mentioned Jim Elliot's quote, I actually only know his story vaguely. Come to think of it, I think it would be really good to read a biography or a retelling of his story. Do you know/recommend any books like that?

I'm not very familiar with the fear of being physically hurt for what I believe. I mean, I've considered on occasion whether or not I would be able to stand up for my faith if I would be in physical danger of getting hurt... but it always seems so far removed from my real life. On the other hand, I'm very familiar with the fear of being emotionally hurt - having people think I'm weird, awkward, judgmental, self-righteous... and on and on. Are you familiar with that?

    1. Oh, really? You should read his story! It's absolutely amazing. :)

Yes, I know...I struggle with seeing so many people tortured for Christ(not here where I live, but I hear about it) and I guess I have a fear of having to be in the same situation. I know it's not something I should think about or worry about because God will give me strength whatever I go through, but it's still hard! And yes, I have those same fears as well. People thinking less of me for being a certain way, having certain convictions, or just living the Christian life the way I think Jesus would want me to. It's so hard! How do you try and deal with those fears?

I absolutely love getting comments! They always put a smile on my face, happiness in my heart, and making blogging totally worth it, so I would love if you would comment and tell me what you think!

I ask only that every word you say is completely appropriate and completely honors God. Thank you so much! :)
